I'm in a movie

I always am

usually 

I caper through the plot twists

and yet I enjoy the plan

you weren't in the script I had rehearsed

you were a surprise 

dialogues well versed 

you said all the perfect things

you became everything I wanted 

and then you left me haunted

you had me feeling so sure 

that I was finally going to belong 

and then you became doubt

you promised protection 

and then you became the evil you warned me about
